Description

RIBF Week 2019 is a 3-day long meeting aimed at bringing together a variety of RIBF users to discuss the present status of experiments and generate collaborative efforts for future physics opportunities at the RIBF. To achieve these aims, the RIBF week comprises the following consecutively run events:

Sep. 2: OEDO collaboration meeting

Sep. 3 - 4: RIBF Users Meeting

Sep. 4: SSRI-PNS collaboration meeting

A dinner shall be held jointly for all three events on Sep. 3 at the main canteen of the RIKEN Wako-shi campus. The dinner fee is 2,000 JPY. Those attending the dinner are requested to pay the fee on cash on Tuesday.

Attendees of RIBF Week are encouraged to take the opportunity to discuss possible inter-group collaborative efforts.

RIBF Users Meeting

The RIBF Users Meeting 2019 will take place on Sep. 3 - 4. The meeting will comprise invited overview contributions from experimental and theoretical activities related to the RIBF. Status and future planing of the accelerator facilities will be discussed as well. The RIBF users group thesis award lectures and award ceremony will be held on Tuesday Sep. 3.

The registration fee of RIBF Users Meeting is 500 JPY, to be paid in cash on Tuesday.

OEDO collaboratiom meeting

The OEDO collaboration meeting will be taken place on Sep./2nd (Mon.).  The OEDO provides energy-degraded RI beams of various species less than around 20 MeV/nucleon with  beam spots in a few cm diameters, which enable us to study nuclear reactions such as the direct reaction and fusion reaction.  The status report of  the development of the OEDO beam line and the associated apparatus will be followed by reports of the two experiments in 2017. The future experimental proposals will also be discussed. Proponents intending to submit an experimental proposal using OEDO to the next 20th RIBF Nuclear Physics Program Advisory Committee, are requested to attend the workshop. If you would like to give a  presentation during the workshop, please contact oedo local member, oedo-core @ cns.s.u-tokyo.ac.jp .

SSRI-PNS collaboration meeting

The SSRI-PNS collaboration meeting will be held on 4th September, 2019. The SSRI-PNS collaboration is a platform to share the physics motivation to explore the ground state and isomeric state properties by applying low-energy spectroscopy techniques, such as mass measurements, decay measurements, laser spectroscopy and NMR spectroscopy with relevant devices to be used or constructed at RIKEN RIBF facility. Major facilities and devices are

- KISS (KEK Isotope Separation System)

- SLOWRI (SLOW RI beam facility)

- GARIS (GAs-filled Recoil Ion Separator)

- MRTOF-MS (Multi-Reflection Time-Of-Flight Mass Spectrograph)

Those who are interested in proposing an experiment using those facilities to the next or the future's PAC are strongly encouraged to give a presentation at the meeting as well as to submit a pre-proposal. The format is found in http://research.kek.jp/group/wnsc/ssri-pns/call_for_preproposal.html.
