TMEP Satellite Meeting at NuSym25

We will hold a satellite meeting of the Transport Model Evaluation Project (TMEP) at the end of NuSym25 in Kobe, Japan. The satellite meeting will take place on Friday afternoon (September 12, 2025) for about two hours, and we will continue the discussion on Saturday morning (September 13, 2025).

[Program]

[Friday afternoon (15:30–17:30 JST), September 12, 2025]

  • Dan Cozma (25 min): Progress of the box homework on pion production with mometum-dependent mean field
  • Hermann Wolter (20 min): Comparatative study of realistic heavy-ion collisions including a Bayesian inference using experimental data
  • Yingxun Zhang (20 min): Thoughts on application of Bayesian model averaging to transport code results
  • Zhen Zhang and Dan Cozma (15 min): Homework proposal for uncertainty quantification
  • Maria Colonna and Stefano Burello (10 min): Remarks on fluctuations (and correlations) in transport models
  • Rui Wang (30 min): Box calculations within the BUU equation including light clusters

[Saturday morning (9:30–12:30 JST), September 13, 2025]

  • Akira Ono: Review and summary of Friday's discussion
  • Continue discussion

[Topics]

  • Progress (toward publishing) of the box homework on pion production with momentum-dependent mean field
  • Uncertainty quantification and Bayesian inference from HIC data–comparative study of realistic heavy-ion collisions including a Bayesian inference using experimental data
  • Present situation and questions on dense matter EOS from HIC
