Description
I am very happy to have an opportunity to introduce our new laboratory and our activities. The name of our new laboratory is "Astrophysical Big Bang Laboratory" where we are studying big, explosive phenomena in the universe such as supernovae (SNe) and gamma-ray bursts (GRBs). I would like to show our current interests on the central engine of GRBs, jet-like explosion in SNe, explosive nucleosynthesis happening there, and resulting supernova remnants. I would like to mention on our study of radiation mechanisms of GRBs, which are still poorly known. Finally, I would like to our activities on Ultra-High Energy Cosmic Rays that should have been produced by high-energy astrophysical objects such as GRBs.
