The notion of conformality has a natural generalization to anisotropic field theories, using the concept of anisotropic Weyl invariance. We discuss the anomalies of this symmetry, their evaluation using perturbation theory and holography, and comment on their implications for such theories' structure, as well as for anisotropic theories of quantum gravity (Horava-Lifshitz gravity).
