Description
Title: Nuclear beta-decay half-lives and the impact of isoscalar proton-neutron pairing
Speaker: Dr. Haozhao Liang
Date: Wednesday, January 15th, 15:30- (unusual time)
Place: Room 203, RIBF building
Abstract:
In this informal talk, I will discuss about the beta decays in the neutron-rich side and the beta^+ decays/electron-captures in the neutron-deficient side in the Z=20~50 region. The decay half-lives are calculated by the self-consistent relativistic QRPA. Let us try to consider the effects of isoscalar (T=0) proton-neutron pairing as the particle-particle residual interaction, and the way to determine the pairing strengths.
