Description
Date: Monday, October 20th, 12:00- Place: Room 203, RIBF building (two 15+10 introductory talks) Title: Impact of electron capture rate and equation of state on the supernovae explosions Speaker: Dr. Tomoya Takiwaki (ABB Lab) Abstract: In this talk, I will briefly introduce basics of supernovae dynamics and Impact of electron capture rate and equation of state on that. Title: Supernova equation of state with the cluster variational method Speaker: Dr. Hajime Togashi (Hiyama Lab) Abstract: Nuclear equation of state (EOS) plays important roles for core-collapse supernovae (SNe). At present, however, there are no SN-EOSs based on the nuclear Hamiltonian composed of bare nuclear forces. Therefore, we are now constructing a new SN-EOS based on a realistic nuclear Hamiltonian with the variational many-body theory. In this talk, I will report the nuclear EOS that we have constructed with the cluster variational method and its application to the SN numerical simulation.
