Workshop on
"Progress in nuclear shell-model calculations in CNS-RIKEN collaboration"

  Center for Nuclear Study, the University of Tokyo
  RIKEN Nishina Center

RIKEN Nishina center built a PC cluster, "Alphleet", in 1999
and launched a project for large-scale nuclear shell-model
calculations. Since 2001, Center for Nuclear Study,
the University of Tokyo joined this activity to form a joint
research project. It has been playing an important role in
understanding exotic nuclear structure,
such as "island of inversion" and "shell evolution".
Nowadays, it leads to HPCI strategic program field 5, subject 2.
In this workshop, we aim at reviewing these achievements
and promoting further cooperation of theoretical
and experimental studies of nuclear structure based on this project.
