A well-known example is the energy-momentum tensor in lattice gauge theory. The energy-momentum tensor is the Noether current associated with the translational invariance and lattice regularization explicitly breaks the translational invariance. In this talk, I will explain that the gradient flow can be useful to define the energy-momentum tensor in lattice gauge theory. If time allows, I would also like to mention on the application of the gradient flow to the axial vector current and the associated anomaly on the lattice. See more QHP seminars
