Workshop on a new ONOKORO proposal

Description

In the workshop, physics cases and technical aspects of  a new proposal of cluster knockout reaction studies to the next NP-PAC will be dicussed. It is under the ONOKORO project and will be a big proposal combining a series of experiments with several primary beams (proposal of scientific program, like SEASTAR).

The plan is:

     1. (p,pX) cluster knockout experiments at E/A~250 MeV for

             neutron-deficient and -rich Sn isotopes (A=106--110, 126--134)

             alpha-decay 214--220Th nuclei

                        (basically same as Junki Tanaka's previous proposal)

             N=Z nuclei around 56Ni

      2. TOGAXSI array will be used for detection of scattered proton and

          knocked-out clusters

      3. Knocked-out cluster (X) include d, t, 3He, alpha, pp (, and p as a byproduct)

      4. (at least some of) Decay charged particles will be detected together with neutrons

The each campaign will be carried out a cocktail beam including ~10 (or more) isotopes and the obtained data (10 isotopes X 5--6 reaction channels) will be quite wealthy.

We tentatively assigned campaign organizers and channel organizers as

      Campaign organizers:

             Sn isotopes: Juzo Zenihiro (Kyoto)

             Th isotopes: Junki Tanaka (RCNP)

             N=Z nuclei:  Yuki Kubota (RIKEN)

       Channel organizers:

             (p,pd):  Yuki Kubota (RIKEN) , Stefanos Paschalis (York)

             (p,pt)/(p,p3He): Ryotaro Tsuji (Kyoto/RIKEN) , Valerian Alcindor (IJCLab)

             (p,palpha): Junki Tanaka (RCNP), Zaihong Yang (Peking)

  (p,3p): Kenjiro Miki (Tohoku)

             Decay: Shumpei Koyama (GANIL)

In future, some more members will be invited to channel organizers.

We welcome proposals from everybody in the ONOKORO and SAMURAI collaborations to take part in the experiment and the data analysis of nuclides/channels of your interest.

We organize a small online workshop to discuss physics cases and collaboration as follows:

      12th (Tue) September 16:00--20:00JST (9:00--13:00 CEST)
