MANY-BODY EFFECTS IN THE STRUCTURE AND REACTIONS OF NUCLEI WITH ONE- AND TWO-VALENCE NUCLEONS

=Abstract=

I will discuss a theoretical framework, based on particle-vibration coupling, able to take into account relevant degrees of freedom of the core in the structure and reaction calculations of nuclei with one or two valence nucleons. I will show applications to Li, Be and C isotopes, discussing the population of low-lying unbound states, focusing in particular on the study of pairing vibrations in 14C via two-nucleon transfer reactions.
