The workshop on advancing physics at next RI Beam Factory (ADRIB25) will be held at the Nishina Hall of the RIKEN Nishina Center on January 22 and 23, 2025.
Since its first beam in 2007, the RI Beam Factory (RIBF) has been creating various opportunities for a wide range of physics, such as the shell evolution, nucleosynthesis or nuclear equation of state. The workshop aims at gathering experimental and theoretical experts,to discuss physics opportunities to be created at the RIBF in future. Main focus goes to the mid to long term ranges charted by the RIBF Upgrade Project, a major facility upgrade envisioned to the accelerator complex and the secondary beamline with a goal set to increase a uranium beam intensity to 2,000 pnA from the current maximum of about 100 pnA.
ADRIB25 is the second edition of the ADRIB series following the first meeting in January 2024. This year ADRIB25 will be held in the same week of the RIBF Users Meeting (UM). This arrangement was made in close collaboration with the RIBF Users Executive committee (UEC) to facilitate the participation of RIBF users to both workshops that are closely related and encourages their involvement in future projects of the RIBF. ADRIB25 will be more focused on mid to long term perspectives, while UM will be set to discuss the present status and short-term future projects. More details on UM will be provided by the UEC in a separate announcement.
