Atomic nuclei exhibit a unique mechanism and manifestation of chirality different from other research fields. The nuclear physics group at Shandong University has dedicated much effort to the study of chiral symmetry in atomic nuclei. The key research highlights include the proposal of the A ≈ 80 mass region for nuclear chirality, the observation of octupole correlations among multiple chiral bands, and the identification of chiral wobbling modes. Additionally, the work in the synthesis of new isotopes and the development of advanced detectors will also be introduced. The presentation will also cover the multiple-phonon excitation identified by combining two fission approaches.
