Description
I will talk about the effect of 2p-2h configurations on Gamow-Teller states in closed shell nuclei by using Subtracted Second random phase approximation (SSRPA) model. It is found that the 2p-2h configuration mixings induce about 30% of quenching on the Ikeda sum rule in the excitation energy below 25 MeV. I will discuss further the effect of two-body currents derived from chiral effective field theory (EFT) on GT quenching problems.
