This workshop is set up as Pre-workshop for the Conference on Deep inelastic scattering (DIS 2018) in Kobe. The goal is to discuss aspects of the proposed Electron-Ion-Collider EIC that benefit other fields such as astroparticle physics (neutrinos and cosmic rays), high-energy physics and heavy-ion physics. Invited talks on these connections as well as overview talks about the EIC project, potential realizations and detector considerations are planned.
The workshop is supported by the Center for nuclear science, (CFNS), RIKEN Nishina Center, and Kobe University
