This presentation reviews the history of discoveries of millimeter wave continuum emission from the vicinity of active SMBHs in low-luminosity AGNs, including Seyfert galaxies.
I will present our recent studies of nearby AGNs based on millimeter and X-ray observations
"I summarize three ALMA studies investigating jet and coronal activities in Seyfert galaxies.
NGC 1068 Jet: High-resolution ALMA observations reveal parsec-scale blobs in the jet of NGC 1068, with a magnetic field of ≈240 μG. These findings suggest cosmic-ray amplification and significant galactic impact even from modest-power jets.
NGC 1068 Core Spectrum: Broad-band data from 5–700 GHz,...
"ALMA’s high-resolution observations have unveiled an excess of emission in the millimeter bands of radio-quiet Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN), yet the origin of this emission remains unclear. One proposed explanation is the synchrotron emission produced by accelerated non-thermal electrons within the X-ray hot corona. Such non-thermal population could also be the origin of the Neutrino emission...
