[Overview]
The 18th International Symposium on Origin of Matter and Evolution of Galaxies (OMEG18) will be held at RIKEN (Wako Campus), Japan, from October 19 to 23, 2026, with registration on October 19.
OMEG18 is the 18th symposium in a series that has been held almost every two years since 1988. The symposium aims to discuss topics related to nuclear astrophysics and its associated fields, bringing together researchers and students from a broad range of disciplines.

- Big Bang cosmology and primordial nucleosynthesis
- First-generation stars and galactic chemical evolution
- Astronomical observations with light, X-ray, gamma-ray, and cosmic rays
- Stellar evolution and hydrostatic burning processes

- Explosive stellar objects and nuclear physics
- Meteorite analysis and isotopic abundances
- Theoretical nuclear physics for astrophysics

Registration for OMEG18 will be available on our Indico webpage starting on April 9, 2026.
The deadline for abstract submission is June 21, 2026.
Contributors will be notified of decisions regarding oral or poster presentations in mid-July 2026.
