Description

We plan to conduct an experiment for exploring eta’-mesic nuclei by using the Wide Angle Shower Apparatus (WASA) detector at the fragment separator (FRS) in GSI. We aim at producing and observing eta'-mesic nuclei in 12C(p, dp) reaction by employing 2.5 GeV proton beams. We use the WASA detector to detect protons from decays of eta'-mesic nuclei and the FRS to measure the momenta of the deuterons. In this talk, we report present status of the preparation for the experiment.
