There are only two hotels near the Wako-shi station(Google Map, Wiki), which is 15mins walkable distance from RIKEN.

Toyoko-inn(Japanese or English) 6,480yen (about $85)

Superhotel(Japanese or English) 6,720yen (about $88)

Both hotels are rather new and provide clean and confortable room. If you want to enjoy the Japanese businessman style, they are perfect and recommended ones. (Don't expect a big room like American style!) Free wired-LAN, free Japanese or Western self-serve breakfast, an air-conditioner, an empty refrigerator for your own drink and food, and a flat-screen TV are available. There are some shops for foods and clothes and a big supermarket Ito-Yoka-Do are available around the Wako-shi station within walkable distance.

From their own web site, you can make a reservation by yourself. If you need help, please indicate that during the registration. We will book one single non-smoking room in one of the above two hotels near Wako-shi station and you will receive a notification e-mail. The RIKEN on-site Hotel is available only for special request because of the limited number of rooms during the time. Please feel free to put any request by text during the registration

Nishina Lodge (on-site hostel) (English) 3,300yen (about $40)

If you like better and bigger room especially for your family, we recommend to find it by yourself. There are plenty of nice and comfortable hotels around Tokyo. Here are lists of hotels near the Wako station, Ikebukuro station(20mins train from the Wako-shi station, Google Map,Wiki) or around Tokyo metro area.
