HaloWeek'26 - nuclei at and beyond the driplines - will take place from June 8 to 12, 2026 at Kyoto University, in Japan'sย  former historic capital, Kyoto. The workshop will focus on the latest forefront experimental and theoretical developments in the physics of weakly-bound and unbound nuclei, and explorations of the drip lines and beyond.

Following the previous successful meetings inย Bergen, Norway (2022)ย andย Gothenburg, Sweden (2024), HaloWeekโ€™26 will bring together 40-60 participants to meet and discuss the most recent progress and share future perspectives of this field.

NOTE: As the venue has limited capacity, participation is by invitation only.

ย

The topics of the workshop will include:

  • The physics of Halo states

  • Experimental and theoretical progress in the physics of weakly-bound and unbound states in nuclei, atoms, and molecules.

  • Pure neutron systems

  • Reaction theory

  • Universal aspects and analogies
