原子核の多体相関で最も重要なものは変形をもたらす多重極相関と、超伝導をもたらす対相関である。有限量子多体系である原子核ではこれらの大振幅な相関が本質的となる現象が現れ、変形共存、核分裂などはその一例である。平均場描像を出発点として大振幅集団運動の理論を構築し、これらの構造を議論する。
