Description
This is the second PHENIX collaboration workshop between Japanese and Korean institutes. The first one was held in Ewha Woman's University in Seoul, South Korea in November 2012. The last workshop provided a good synergy effect in our contribution to PHENIX project. Two students made up their minds to join PHENIX after the workshop plus possible collaboration in the silicon tracker R&D for sPHENIX was initiated. Given the productive outcome of the workshop, we would like to seek for the way to lay a track to hold the workshop in yearly basis. PHENIX soon gets into the important transition phase to renew entire detector concept through the drastic upgrade. Taking geographical advantage, it is logical to collaborate within Eastern Asian countries to maximize the outcome within limited resources. This workshop should be an opportunity to discuss how to proceed and optimize the collaboration. The program of the workshop (at least for this year) can be categorized into following two items 1) presentation by Korean students who work at RIKEN, 2) PHENIX future project.
