Second Circular

Dear Colleagues,

We would like to send you the second circular of the CNS-RIKEN Joint
Symposium on "Frontier of gamma-ray spectroscopy and Perspectives for Nuclear 
Structure Studies (gamma08)", to be held at Nishina Hall in RIKEN Wako campus 
from April 3--5, 2008.

Main topics to be discussed are:
* Collectivities and shell effects in neutron/proton-rich nuclei
* Shell structure and stability of very heavy nuclei
* Exotic deformation / new collective motion at low and high spin
* Single particle motion in isomeric states
* Development of detectors and experimental methods

Key Dates:
February 15, 2008: Deadline for abstract submission
March    21, 2008: Deadline for registration
April   3-5, 2008: gamma08 Symposium

Those who are interested in participating in the symposium are kindly
requested to make registration in advance by filling the form at web page:
by March 21.
The registration fee is 7,000 yen which should be paid upon arrival in
Japanese currency. 

Abstract Submission:
On-line submission starts on January 20, 2008 at
Deadline for abstract submission is February 15.

In order to encourage an open discussion of also the latest, often very 
preliminary results no proceedings will be published.

As for the accommodation, we would appreciate it if you could book a room at
Toyoko Inn through following web page by yourself. This hotel locates near 
Wako-shi station in 10 minutes walk distance from RIKEN.

Access from the Narita Airport to RIKEN:
It takes about 2.5 hours from the Narita airport to RIKEN by train.
