How to get cash at airport and on AS campus?
Some banks counters of the International Airport operate 24 hours, please refer the bank counters of Taoyuan International Airport, the bank counters of Taipei Songshan Airport or exchange/convert USD/EUR/JPY/RMB/HKD at Chunghwa POST Bank located on the AS campus (labeled number 16 on AS MAP, open from 08:30-17:00, Monday to Friday and 09:00-12:00 on Saturday). It is advised to keep the receipt in order to exchange unused currency.
Almost all cities and towns have ATMs, support international systems such as Cirrus, Plus, Accel, etc., you may withdraw cash from Hi-Life convenience store ATM machine located on the AS campus, which is the most convenient and safe method for obtaining cash for daily expenses. Alternatively, you can locate nearby ATMs that accept VISA, Master and America Express.
Stores in most cities accept credit card payment with Visa and Mastercard, American Express and Diners Club also are fairly commonly recognized. For the information of foreign exchange rate, please visit the Bank of Taiwan.
How to get a SIM card at airport?
Purchase a local GSM-standard SIM card (pay-as-you-go/prepaid card for short visit period), have a new number for use within Taiwan. Chunghwa Telecom, Taiwan Cellular are the biggest service providers and you may find the cellular service counters at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport or Taipei Songshan Airport. SIM cards can be purchased in advance online and pick up at selected airport through services like KLOOK or KKDAY, from the cellular service counters at airport or their stores located in cities.
How to get an EasyCard at airport and use?
An EasyCard is a contactless smart card you can top-up with money and can be used on most types of transportation such as trains, Taipei Metro, and buses. Many places also accept EasyCard for purchasing goods or shopping. An EasyCard can be purchased from Airport MRT Service booth (located in the arrival hall of T1 and T2 at Taoyuan Airport), MRT Stations or convenience stores like 7-Eleven, Family Mart, Hi-Life, or OK Mart. Alternatively, you can purchase one online in advance and pick up at Taoyuan International Airport through services like KLOOK or KKDAY.
Each standard fare (adult) cards cost 100TWD each, exclusive a deposit and balance. The deposit on standard EasyCard (in card form) is refundable. However, non-card EasyCards are non-refundable and cost more due to their design.
Visitors should scan/tap their EasyCard on both boarding and alighting from bus or pay approximately 15TWD in coins for a single segment regular ticket. EasyCard can be topped up at any MRT stations or convenience stores.

How to access Wi-Fi on AS Campus?
The AS campus is covered with eduroam, requiring login (type in the password once for auto-login). Visitors are recommended to obtain an account from their home universities. Another option is to access the Wi-Fi provided by the Institute of Physics. Login information will be posted at the time of the meeting, and it is necessary to complete the login procedure for each session probably.
