Description
We are now constructing at RIKEN RIBF a spectrometer SAMURAI, which is characterized by the large angular- and momentum-acceptances enabling, for example, multi-particle coincidence measurements. The on-site construction started in October, and commissioning experiments are to be performed in early 2012. SAMURAI collaboration submitted a "construction proposal" to the next PAC which will be held in this December, and will receive a review concerning the construction so far and physics programs in the early stage. Taking this opportunity, we would like to have a workshop to summarize the current status of construction, and to discuss about forthcoming detector development and construction, and also about future experiments including commissioning and the ones in the first phase. Those who plan to perform experiments with SAMURAI, who are interested in physics programs in SAMURAI, who have been working with magnetic spectrometer, please join us to discuss on the SAMURAI project.
